Camera Setup

After you have connected and placed the cameras according to the instructions that came with the cameras, start the MaxREAL software.  MaxREAL will search for supported cameras and if found, the following will be displayed

Once the cameras are initialized, the main MaxREAL window will be displayed.  Select Workspace (or use Alt+W) and then select the Camera Control Tab to enter Camera Setup

This will take you to the Camera Control screen with a live view from the camera(s).  You may need to adjust the Exposure, Gain and Threshold.  However, the defaults should get you started.  Note that you can switch between marker view and video view where you can see a live image from the camera.  This will help you when adjusting Exposure and Gain.  See Camera Control for more information about the different settings.

The next step is to Calibrate the System.
