How To Move The Wand

Previous  Next

It is a good practice to move the wand in one direction at a time.  You can either hold the wand positioned in the X-Y direction (wand is parallel to X-Y plane) or positioned in the Z direction ( wand held parallel to the Z axis).  Which ever direction you choose to move first, make sure to move the wand in the entire measurement area covering both the lower and upper parts of the volume.  The objective is to fill the entire volume of interest with calibration points and to cover the areas where there will be markers present during the actual test.  Repeat the movement in the other direction.

Please refer to figure 3 and figure 4 in Steps to Calibrate to see how the wand movement is covering the measurement area.

It is recommended that the wand movement be systematic and easy to repeat.
