Projected Point

Previous  Next

You can create a Projected Point by defining it's relationship to 2 other points.  the relationship is defined as the angle between the vectors and the distance from one of the other 2 points.  This feature can be useful if you want to track the motion of a point where you can't attach any markers or a point that can not be seen by a camera.

Select Projected Point from the Tools menu to activate this tool.  The following dialog is presented after you have activated the tool:

You can specify the relative location of the projected point by using the mouse or specifying the offset to the 1st point in the current units and the angle between the 2 vectors formed by point 1 and 2 and the projected point.

The output point can be an existing point or you can create a new point.  The output point will be a calculated point.
